Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum Re-Opening

July 24th, 2017

The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum underwent a substantial renovation which included modernization and upgrades to the entire museum exhibition which originally opened in 1990. Kubik- Maltbie’s role began with supporting the design team, Thinkwell Group, throughout the design phases, providing on going budgets, case engineering details and scheduling information. Immediately following this phase, we moved directly into the engineering and fabrication phases which involved a complete retrofit of the ten exhibition galleries. Kubik-Maltbie’s scope of work included installing a complete replica of the oval office, forty showcases, artifact mounting and coordination with the audio-visual subcontractor, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the base building contractor as well as local seismic engineers. Also included were eight interactive stations which were prototyped and developed in-house.
